Summary: An augmented-reality graphic novel that shares the whakapapa of place names in the Manawatū. Manawatū focuses on the creation myths of the Manawatū rohe and the coming to the region of the Rangitāne people. It also tells the story of several place names within the rohe. Rangitāne is set in a period of unease that occurred when newcomers came to the rohe during the 1800s. In these times Rangitāne leadership managed to navigate these challenges and establish relationships with newcomers to the rohe. Te Ahu ā Tūranga is set in contemporary times. It follows a young Rangitāne leader as she leads other rangatahi in serving the community and providing kaitiakitanga for the rohe.
